Celebrating Excellence: Congratulations to the Award Winners of the 3rd MyBiomed Symposium 2026

SUBANG JAYA, 8 September 2026 — The 3rd MyBiomed Symposium 2026, held on 7–8 September 2026 at Taylor’s University, Lakeside Campus, Subang Jaya, concluded on a high note by recognising outstanding contributions and achievements among its participants.
Jointly organised by the Persatuan Bioperubatan Malaysia (MyBiomed) and Taylor’s University, the symposium, themed “Bridging Discovery, Technology and Healthcare,” brought together 155 participants comprising undergraduate and postgraduate students, academicians, researchers, and industry representatives from across Malaysia.
As part of the symposium programme, several awards were presented to recognise excellence in scientific presentation, research communication, participation, and creative engagement. The awards highlighted the quality and diversity of biomedical research presented throughout the two-day event.
Travel Grant Awards
The Travel Grant Awards were presented to:
Amirul Hafiz bin Ahmad Abdullah — Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)
Kheshini Srii Sakti A/P Panneer Selvam — Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UNISZA)
Basil Khoo Yeo Wei — Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)
The awards recognise participants whose participation in the symposium was supported through the travel grant initiative, facilitating wider participation and knowledge exchange within Malaysia’s biomedical research community.
Best Oral Presenter Awards
The Best Oral Presenter Awards recognised presenters who demonstrated excellence in communicating their research, scientific understanding, presentation skills, and ability to engage the audience.

The symposium also featured a TikTok Challenge, providing participants with an innovative and engaging avenue to communicate the spirit of biomedical science and the symposium to a wider audience.
